Şev presents a sharp geometric contrast on an anthracite gray ground textured with thin horizontal lines, a wide white diagonal band running from the upper left to the lower right corner of the panel, cutting across the dark striped ground for a dynamic sense of movement. The slim inox bar handle is set at the same angle, running along the diagonal band.
Separating light and dark tones with a slanted line gives the door an unconventional character. The wide white stripe comes down the dark ground like a trace of light, so Şev is a way of keeping the door dark without losing it against anthracite joinery or a dark facade.
How far it leans depends on the opening: steeper on a tall, narrow entrance, flatter on a wide one.
