Fermuar presents an unconventional geometric pattern, an interlocking stepped cutout reaching from the dark brown wood section on the right edge of the panel into the white field on the left, the stepped structure resembling the open teeth of a vertical zipper. Cylinder locks are set at four separate points, each one landing on a step of the cutout.
The slim vertical bar handle is mounted at the middle of the panel. The interlocking squares stop the border between the two colours from being a straight line, which leaves Fermuar something to say even in a plain corridor.
The steps mesh at the middle of the face, so the centre line is also where the eye follows as the door swings.
