Gürgen presents a balanced classic layout of seven raised panels across its medium-brown wood surface: two square panels at the top, a large circular frame at the center, and two large rectangular panels at the bottom. At the very centre of the circular frame hangs a traditional ring knocker, a nostalgic touch, and the curved pull handle immediately below it is the only other piece of hardware on the leaf.
The soft embossed shadows across the panel work together with the wood grain for a warm look. The balanced seven-panel layout and the traditional knocker put this door in the language of an old courtyard gate, which works on a village house or a stone-walled garden; extra height is taken up by the top and bottom panels so the count stays the same.
