Söğüt sweeps a branching motif of leaves and small flowers diagonally from the upper-right to the lower-left corner of a dark anthracite surface, evoking the hanging branches of a willow tree. The fine branches open into leaves facing different directions, giving most of the panel a natural sense of movement.
The light grey laser-cut lines leave an elegant mark against the dark field. A visitor sees the black handle first; from the inside, it is the small lens above it that gets used.
The branch comes down from the top right to the bottom left, splitting as it goes, so Söğüt builds a natural movement by staying clear of symmetry. The density follows the leaf: a wider door gains more branches rather than longer ones, or the motif looks thin.
