Şelale frames a golden oak-toned surface with a thin rectangular border, filling it with bundles of diagonal lines that break direction in an N-shape, evoking the movement of falling water. The lines' changing direction gives the door a dynamic rhythm reminiscent of a cascading waterfall.
The cream-coloured laser-cut lines leave a clear mark against the warm wood field. Whoever comes to the door sees the black bar on the left; from inside, it is the small opening above it that is used.
The lines step down inside the frame, so Şelale describes the movement of water through direction alone rather than turning it into a pattern. The frame contains that flow, so the door stays ordered even while it moves.
