Nefes builds a hypnotic composition on a dark walnut-toned surface, with dozens of nested wavy lines narrowing at the centre and widening top and bottom, suggesting a form that seems to breathe in and out. The tight repetition of the lines gives the door a texture reminiscent of a vibrating sound wave.
The cream-coloured laser-cut lines create an elegant contrast against the dark wood field. A vertical black bar handle passes right through the wavy form, with a small peephole above it.
Dozens of wavy lines narrow in the middle and open at the ends, and that pinch gives the door the feel of a surface breathing in and out. The leaf height decides the count: crowded lines begin to shimmer, so on a tall door we open the spacing.
