Duman presents an extremely minimal composition, with a thin abstract ribbon curving softly from top to bottom across a dark anthracite surface, evoking rising smoke or a ribbon caught mid-air. The thin, unbroken line leaves most of the panel empty, directing attention to a single focal path.
A vertical black bar handle stands on the left edge, with a small peephole above it. A thin strip comes down the dark ground in one unbroken curve, so Duman puts a single line on the door rather than a pattern and leaves it there.
The line does not pass through the centre, so the face is deliberately off-balance - which makes the plainness read as a decision rather than an absence.
