Buhar presents an extremely minimal composition, with a thin abstract ribbon curving softly from top to bottom across a calm grey-taupe wood-toned surface, evoking rising steam or vapour. The thin, unbroken line leaves most of the panel empty, directing attention to a single focal path.
The cream-coloured laser-cut lines leave a soft yet clear mark on the grey-taupe field. The vertical black handle marks the left edge, and a slim lens above it looks outside.
The grey-taupe ground almost swallows the strip, which makes Buhar a door that would rather stay in the background than announce itself. The curve is drawn to the leaf size, and we keep the turns the same width at any size so the strip never dissolves into the ground.
