Pınar carries a book-matched upper panel on its dark walnut-toned face, where the wood grain mirrors itself symmetrically, paired with a large plain panel below. This book-matching brings together the richest-looking sections of the natural wood for an organic, handcrafted character.
A small ring knocker sits at the centre of the upper panel, with a polished twisted bar handle between the two panels. The grain in the upper panel is mirrored down the middle, so the pattern looks as if it came out of the door rather than onto it - Pınar treats timber as the subject instead of the decoration.
The lower panel is left entirely plain, which keeps the eye on that grain and stops the door reading as two halves.
