Kum places two dark triangular forms, narrowing inward from the top and bottom, onto a beige-taupe marble-textured surface to create a striking hourglass-like silhouette. A horizontal ribbed stainless bar handle sits exactly where the two triangles pinch together, and the eye goes there first.
The small peephole is hidden inside the upper triangle, while two separate round lock cylinders sit on the side edge. The two triangles narrow towards the middle, so an hourglass silhouette appears on the door - symmetrical, yet nothing like a conventional panel layout.
The angles come out of the leaf's proportions: a wide door flattens them, a narrow one sharpens the waist.
