Şimşek sets a wide black diagonal stripe running sharply from top to bottom across a plain mid-brown walnut-toned surface, its angled line suggesting a sudden bolt of lightning. Three thin horizontal black lines repeat near the base, echoing the stripe for a rhythmic close to the composition.
A small peephole and two separate round lock cylinders sit near the top, close to where the band ends. The broad black stripe cuts across the door and leaves two unequal pieces, and with that asymmetry Şimşek turns plain walnut into a moving surface.
Its angle is drawn to the leaf's corners - miss them and the movement stops halfway, so we measure corner to corner.
