Kanat sets two symmetric bundles of angled golden oak-toned strips against a black surface, narrowing toward the centre like an open bird's wing. A horizontal wood block, framed by thin black slats, sits where the two bundles meet.
Small square electronic lock panels sit symmetrically on either side of the block, with a small peephole above. The two bundles of strips open outward from the middle, so the door suggests a spread wing even while it is shut.
Their angle is set by the size, and because the symmetry has to land dead centre we measure the opening from both sides and split any difference evenly.
