Alev sets a vertical chain of gold-toned triangles straight down the centre of a fully black surface, alternating between solid gold fill and an outlined empty triangle for a rhythmic, flame-like upward movement. The chain runs unbroken from the top of the panel to the bottom.
The black bar handle on the left edge keeps to its own line without competing with the rising gold triangles, and a small viewer sits above it. The gold triangles climb the black ground and leave the impression of a rising flame, so the pattern moves while the door itself stays plain.
Their number changes with the leaf height: on a lower door we drop one rather than shrink them, since smaller ones lose the glint.
