Tandir is a completely unadorned single-leaf fire door with a vivid red tone recalling the glowing fire of traditional clay ovens, drawing attention. The surface has no glass, vents, or other opening, reflecting a plain, functional design that prioritizes fire and smoke containment.
Since the door is opened by pushing, the direction of escape is readable from the door itself: the side with the bar is the inside. The vivid red tone helps the door stand out clearly on a building facade.
With no ornament at all, the door speaks on an escape route through colour and hardware alone; once we have the opening, leaf and frame are made together.
