Kavak draws attention on its light honey-toned vertical wood-grain leaf with a black horizontal band splitting the panel in two, carrying a geometric cut handle built from interlocking rectangular lines. This distinctive handle design stands out as the door's one clear decorative detail.
Above the band there is a small peephole, and a second cylinder lock sits below it. The handle sits on the black band, so the door does not look as though a lever was added to it later - the two read as a single detail.
The honey-toned vertical grain is interrupted above and below that band, so the face reads as one surface divided rather than two surfaces joined.
