Parmaklık presents a strong modern character with glossy inox-framed glass panels set against a dark ground, divided by a grid of thin horizontal and vertical bars that repeats across both leaves. Large S-curved chrome pull handles are set at the middle of each leaf, above a mosaic-stone threshold.
The battens build a grille in front of the glass, so the door stays transparent without looking left open - which is what Parmaklık is for at entrances that give straight onto the street. Their spacing follows the opening: on a narrow entrance we thin them out, otherwise the glazing turns into a cage.
