Han creates a wide entrance impression with an asymmetric composition in medium-brown wood tone: the wide leaf is divided by five stacked raised square panels, while a narrower companion leaf keeps a plainer surface as a complementary role. On the wide leaf there is a horizontal bar handle with a cylinder lock beside it, and a small peephole higher up.
A plain cornice frame along the top ties the composition together. Five raised panels break up the wide leaf, so the door never feels heavy despite its size, and Han can carry its scale at the tall entrance of an older building.
The narrow leaf stays shut day to day while the main one does the work; both open on the day something large has to come through.
