Akis offers a sleek, reflective surface in glossy black, marked by two groups of thin horizontal inox lines; the high gloss mirrors the surrounding buildings almost like glass. Two long vertical bar handles stand near the middle of the leaves, between the groups of lines, holding the symmetry.
The empty black field between the two groups of lines is left clear so the reflection stays unbroken, and where Akis faces a glazed building or a bright courtyard it carries that image onto the door. With a surface this reflective the pattern has to stay sparse, and two thin groups of lines are enough to keep it from looking bare.
