Yamaç sets a vertical fluted wood strip in the left-centre of a horizontally lined grey-anthracite surface for a simple yet clear focal point. A narrow, polished mirror strip runs alongside the wood strip from top to bottom, tracing a thin line of light against the dark field.
Near the top there is a small lens for looking out, and below it two round lock cylinders set apart from each other. The fluted strip sits a little left of centre, so the face is deliberately off-balance - which tends to look easier in flats where a shoe cabinet or console stands beside the door.
On a different width we move the strip to hold the same proportion.
